Frank Kuenstler - Miscellany (Nine Three Press, 1987)

Dead stock find of one of poet, artist, & experimental filmmaker Frank Kuenstler's most difficult to locate books. Basically unavailable for nearly 40 years, we have a limited number of copies finally available. Kuenstler (1928 - 1996) is, in our opinion, one of the greatest experimental & lyric poets of the mid to late 20th Century. A poet and product of New York City, he is probably most famous for his book length poem LENS (Film Culture, 1964), which he began writing in 1952 and worked on for twelve years. He went on to create a large body of work across a number of books that included both exceedingly minimal and oblique poems, as well as many poems of lyrical grace.

For whatever reason, his two short books on Nine Three Press have always been extraordinarily difficult to locate. John Yau, in his very excellent 2012 article on Kuenstler for Hyperallergic wrote; "I do not own, nor have ever seen, copies of Continued and Miscellany, which have proven impossible to find, even on the Internet." We are pleased to have finally remedied this situation.
